Comprehensive suite of services

Allegiance Healthcare Solutions successfully delivered a comprehensive suite of services for CHRISTUS Health, including integration development, AIX to RHEL OS upgrades, and data conversions from Meditech and Cerner EHRs to Epic. This extensive project focused on migrating from Cloverleaf to IBM Integration Bus (IIB), a critical step in enhancing the interoperability and efficiency of CHRISTUS Health’s’ IT infrastructure.

Key Differences

  • Industry Focus: Infor Cloverleaf is tailored for healthcare, while IBM IIB is a general-purpose ESB.
  • Data Standards: Cloverleaf excels in healthcare data standards like HL7, whereas IIB supports a broader range of data formats and standards.
  • Web Services: IIB has more robust support for web services compared to Cloverleaf

The migration to IBM IIB enabled seamless data flow across various systems, ensuring that patient care activities were supported by a robust and integrated IT environment.

CHRISTUS Health recently undertook a significant project to migrate from Cerner and Meditech to Epic for their electronic health record (EHR) system. This migration is part of a broader effort to enhance the interoperability and efficiency of their IT infrastructure. The project involved extensive data conversions from Meditech and Cerner EHRs to Epic, as well as upgrades to their operating systems.

By upgrading the Corporate Cloverleaf IBM eServer pSeries from AIX to RHEL OS, Allegiance Healthcare Solutions provided a more flexible and scalable operating system, further enhancing the performance and reliability of CHRISTUS Health Systems’ integration applications.

This project not only improved the technical capabilities of Christus Health Systems but also positioned them to better meet the evolving needs of their patients and healthcare providers.

The successful implementation of these services underscores Allegiance Healthcare Solutions’ commitment to delivering innovative and effective healthcare IT solutions.
